The Theodor Schneller School Graduates Foundation is a nonprofit organization operating exclusively for charitable purposes. The founding members reconnected after 42 years from graduating from Theodor Schneller School orphanage of Amman Jordan. They collectively agreed to form a charitable organization dedicated to give back to the community they grew up in. Thus, the Theodor Schneller School Graduates Foundation was born.
Specifically, this organization will support and sponsor the underprivileged orphans and children including those with special needs, while allowing them to focus on their education. It is our intention and mission to build a network of support to raise awareness and encourage others to contribute to the developmental successes of the children in the Middle East.
We anchor our support through financial contributions to provide much needed school supplies, food, clothing and facility improvement projects. Given that the needs of each orphanage or school varies, the board will assess and dispense funding according to the individual needs of each facility. Our goal is to create a safe environment intended to promote a sense of belonging, creativity, and educational growth opportunities. Majed Fasheh and other designated officers will administer the program. They will also accept assistance from volunteers. The program directors will lead this initiative from our home base in California, in partnership with other charitable and nonprofit organizations. We will depend largely on private donations to carry out our mission and improve the social infrastructure necessary for the children to benefit from this program.
This organization will not accept donations if any conditions imposed by the donor on the contribution limit this organization’s ability to achieve its purposes or force this organization to conduct activities that are not in furtherance of 501c3 purposes. We will ensure that donations are accepted in accordance with 501C3 regulations, and we will properly manage and monitor the proceeds according to the law. All activities are centered on communities, human and social development. Our activities are usually conducted by our members who voluntarily give their time and resources. Our activities are in support of our request for tax exemption since we are community oriented and a not-for-profit organization. We would want our donors to be able to write off their contributions at the end of the year.
